This exhibit introduces odor sensing and odor-source localization technologies inspired by insect olfaction. We will demonstrate ground robots and drone-oriented systems using silkworm moth antennae to detect odors and move toward odor sources. We will also present mosquito antenna-based sensors for detecting human-related odors, and a fast-response hydrogen sulfide sensor system for infrastructure inspection. Actual devices, videos, and panels will explain applications in disaster search, hazardous gas detection, and confined-space inspection. |
