This exhibit introduces a novel approach to target localization, tracking and searching by odor, using a drone system equipped with a bio-hybrid odor sensor that leverages insect antennae. By integrating the exceptional odor-detection capabilities of insects into a compact drone platform, the system enables odor-based exploration independent of visual input. A key application is in disaster environments, where visibility is limited and access is obstructed by debris. At our booth, we will showcase a demonstration model of the bio-hybrid drone. |
